Meeting Time Changes
All webinar courses occur according to Central Time and are subject to Daylight Savings Time shifts. Customers are responsible to adjust their schedules accordingly.
Internet Safety and Etiquette
Writing Foundations (WFD) will never share with or sell your email address to anyone. WFD will not use your email for any reason other than course business. Student details and contact information will ONLY be used for class business and will never be shared with anyone.
Email from Ms. B. is best enjoyed in full HTML mode.
Ms. B’s email address may not be used for any purpose but course business. As much as Ms. B. loves your stories and funny emails, do not add her to your list of email buddies. Misuse of Ms. B’s email address may result in early termination of the course. Parents, please make sure that your students are aware of this.
Please set your email program to approve all emails from Ms. B. at her Writing Foundations dot com address. Ms. B’s emails may include links, clip art, and attachments which may have a tendency to trigger your spam/junk mail settings. If you do not receive an email from Ms. B. in a timely manner, please check your spam/junk email box first.
WFD policy is to correspond with the student via the parent’s email address. Parents should forward all emails to their student. This keeps the parents in the loop, and it keeps the student under the parents’ authority in cyberspace.
To keep student privacy during recorded webinar sessions, students should log in with their first name only. Students should use parent’s email address. Only Ms. B. has access to student’s email address in the webinar setting.
Students will not be allowed to privately chat with others during the webinar.
Students should NEVER share the webinar password with anyone else.
Student Behavior Expectations
During the webinar, students shall refrain from distracting Ms. B. or other students with superfluous or off topic comments in the Discussion/Chat box or on the white board screen when collaboration is enabled. At first distracting comments may generally be ignored. If distracting comments become an issue, the student will receive a warning during the webinar and via email with the parent. If disruptive comments continue, the student will be dropped from the class without REFUND.
Off color statements, profanity, pornography, or other offensive material such as graphic violence or horror imagery in writing assignments will not be accepted. Submission of such material will result in termination of the course without REFUND at the sole discretion of Writing Foundations, Inc.
Grades
Parents are solely responsible for assigning grades for their students. Parents are responsible for making sure students complete the work as assigned. Parents have the authority to adjust or veto any score/assignment as needed. Ms. B. will keep records at Engrade.com, but never as a final authority over your children/home school.
Email Courses
Payment in full is due at the time of registration.
Registrations not paid in full within 24 hours will be deleted.
Tuition payments are NOT TRANSFERABLE from Email Courses to Co-op YEAH/WEST classes.
Refunds
Due to the nature of the self-paced program and because Writing Foundations provides access to the majority of course material at time of registration, NO REFUNDS will be given after Ms. B. sends the Welcome/Set Up email that includes the password for Handout City. Prior to that email, $75 will be assessed for administrative fees, and the rest will be refunded.
Students have 1 YEAR from the date of registration to complete the course. Any uncompleted lessons after the expiration date will be voided without a refund. However, purchased and mostly uncompleted courses within a year may be eligible for transfer to a webinar course. Contact Ms. B. for details.

Course Progress
Please allow up to 2 days for Ms. B. to respond to each submission. If you do not receive a response in that time, first check your junk/spam box, then email Ms. B. Feel free to email Ms. B. anytime with questions or concerns.
Students may not proceed to next lesson until the prior lesson is completed to Ms. B’s satisfaction. Submitted work that does not fulfill the assigned criteria will be returned for modifications before moving on to the next step or lesson.
Grades
Due to the independent nature of the Email Courses, parents are solely responsible for tracking and assigning grades as needed for their student. Because students work to mastery, anyone who finishes a course could receive an A if they need some kind of letter grade. However, since Ms. B. is not able to see how much enthusiasm, prodding, or wailing and gnashing of teeth goes on at home, she can’t provide total expertise over that assessment. Over the years that I have been teaching through Email Courses, every student who completes a course appears to improve their skills, and that is the goal.

Student Editing Services
Payment in full is due at the time of registration.
Registrations not paid in full at the time of registration will be deleted.
Unused word credits will not be refunded for any reason.
The word count for each submission will be subtracted from the pre-paid plan amount. The total used is cumulative per submission. For example, if draft 1 of Essay on Chickens equals 459 words, and later submission of draft 2 of Essay on Chickens equals 503 words, the total number of word credits used would be 962 words. That would leave 38 word credits left of a 1000 word plan.
Leftover word credits may be rolled into a new plan but new plan must be purchased before Ms. B. will edit next submission.
Each submission must include word count, assignment title, draft number, and student’s full name on the first page.
Total document word count includes assignment title, draft number, and student’s full name.
Submissions must be double spaced with 12 point font and 1 inch margins all around.
Student must submit work using the Upload Form.
Student must submit assignment as an attached PDF document.
Using a Writing Foundations Grammar Guide and other online handouts, Ms. B. will edit each paper for spelling errors, typos, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, clarity, word choices, redundancy, inconsistencies, and style.
Ms. B. will edit student submission on paper and return it as a scanned PDF document. Student must have Adobe Acrobat Viewer.
Allow 3 to 5 days turn around time for each submission.
Off color statements, profanity, pornography, or other offensive material such as graphic violence or horror imagery in writing assignments will not be accepted. Submission of such material will result in termination of the course without REFUND at the sole discretion of Writing Foundations, Inc.
